A planned practical exercise covering four infrastructure facilities was conducted at Heydar Aliyev International Airport to strengthen the preparedness of relevant services for potential fire and other emergency situations.
The exercise was organised across various operational and terminal areas of the airport complex based on simulated fire scenarios.
As part of the scenarios, procedures for notifying the relevant services, initial response, fire suppression, safe evacuation and rescue operations, provision of first aid, and securing the affected areas were tested in practice.
The exercise involved the airport’s rescue and firefighting, aviation security, medical, and other relevant services.
The main objective of the exercise was to assess the operational response and coordination of the relevant services during emergency situations, strengthen the practical preparedness of personnel, and support the continuous improvement of existing procedures.
