Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, is one of the six international airports serving Azerbaijan. On 10 March 2004, the Baku International airport was named in honor of Heydar Aliyev, the Great Leader and the former President of Republic of Azerbaijan who served as a head of state for 35 years.

Today Heydar Aliyev International Airport is a big regional transportation hub, serving passengers and cargo flights flying around the world.
