An awareness training was organized for partners operating within the premises of Heydar Aliyev International Airport as part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme. The training was conducted by the HSE and Quality Control Department in line with the requirements of ACA Levels 3 and 3+.
During the session, participants were introduced to key requirements and practical approaches related to carbon emissions reduction, energy efficiency improvement, efficient use of resources, and the implementation of sustainable operational practices. Particular emphasis was placed on both current and upcoming obligations under the ACA programme, as well as the application of international environmental standards in daily operations.
It should be noted that Heydar Aliyev International Airport successfully achieved ACA Level 3 in 2025, with the transition to Level 3+ defined as the next strategic objective. The training supports this goal by strengthening environmental responsibility among all stakeholders operating within the airport area and enhancing coordinated efforts toward sustainable development.
Such initiatives contribute to further strengthening the airport’s compliance with international environmental standards and reaffirm Heydar Aliyev International Airport’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
