As the summer season begins, travel plans are once again becoming a priority. Currently, regular flights from Heydar Aliyev International Airport are operated by nearly 40 airlines to various regions around the world. AZAL, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, LOT Polish Airlines, Air Astana, Wizz Air, Pegasus Airlines, AJet, Centrum Air, China Southern and other international carriers offer passengers an extensive route network.
During the summer season, the highest demand is traditionally observed for Türkiye’s resort cities and popular European tourist destinations. Antalya, Bodrum, Izmir, Rome, Milan, Paris, Barcelona, Prague and Vienna are among the routes most preferred by passengers this season.
In recent years, interest in Asia and Central Asia has also increased significantly. Following the introduction of the visa-free regime between Azerbaijan and China, the Beijing and Urumqi routes have become more attractive for passengers. Cities such as Astana, Almaty, Tashkent, Shymkent and Samarkand also stand out for their historic Silk Road heritage, rich culture and growing tourism potential.
At the same time, the flight network operated from Baku during the summer season has expanded further with the addition of new airlines. Flights offered by Air Serbia to Belgrade, Airblue to Lahore and FlyOne to Tashkent provide passengers with greater choice and additional travel opportunities.
