Heydar Aliyev International Airport hosted an official spotting event for aviation enthusiasts and professional photographers. Participants were granted special access to the airfield, where they had the rare opportunity to observe aircraft movements at close range and capture them through the lens.
The event was organized to promote aviation culture, support young photographers, and build new bridges between the airport community and the public.
Throughout the day, participants documented take-offs and landings of partner airlines, aircraft towing operations, and the precise work of ground services. Dedicated observation points offered unique angles, providing both striking shots to enrich professional portfolios and memorable images for personal collections.
Yet spotting went beyond photography alone. It became a vibrant platform for dialogue, where ideas on aviation were exchanged, photography expertise was shared, and new friendships and collaborations were forged.
It should be noted that participation was limited to aviation enthusiasts over the age of 18. Due to the restricted number of places, applications were accepted in advance, with official confirmations sent to candidates who met the requirements.
