At Baku Airport was organized an excursion for students of the ADA School

January 24, 2024, Baku - At Heydar Aliyev International Airport was held an excursion for students of the ADA School taking part in the “The Airport Design Challenge” project organized by the US Federal Aviation Administration. Schoolchildren had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of aviation and get acquainted with the work of one of the largest airports in the region.
During the excursion, participants visited various key facilities and services, including the “Azeraeronavigation” Air Traffic Control Department of AZAL CJSC, passenger and cargo terminals, airfield and firefighting services of the airport, "AzalOil" Fuel and Lubricants Department, as well as a maintenance hangar. This allowed them to gain unique insight into the variety of processes that ensure safe and efficient airport operations.
"Heydar Aliyev International Airport constantly supports initiatives aimed at developing education and professional training in the field of aviation. The participation of our schoolchildren in international projects can become a key factor in shaping the future development of the country's aviation industry,” said Baku Airport director Teymur Hasanov.
The excursion ended with a meeting of participants with aviation experts. During the meeting, experts shared their knowledge and experience, answering questions from schoolchildren, introducing them to the intricacies of airport design and operation, as well as modern trends and problems faced by the aviation sector.
